Freshman (2022): Appeared in 21 games during his freshman campaign, making five starts and owning a 2-3 record … worked 35.2 innings, allowing 32 hits with 33 walks while striking out 36 … made his first collegiate start in a win against No. 2 Stanford, pitching two innings, allowing two hits and a run … turned in his best performance at Sam Houston where he picked up his first career win … at Sam Houston, Beaird tossed 3.1 hitless/scoreless innings and fanned five, his season high in innings pitched and strikeouts …picked up his second win when the Roadrunners hosted No. 9 Texas State … Beaird held the Bobcats scoreless in his 2.1 innings pitched while striking out three.
