No. 41 Wichita State topples UTSA in Tulsa on Saturday

TULSA, Okla. – No. 41 Wichita State posted a 4-1 win over UTSA men's tennis on Saturday night at Tulsa's Case Tennis Center.

UTSA (7-5) faced its third straight ranked foe a night after posting a 4-1 win at No. 40 Tulsa. The Roadrunners couldn't overcome a loss in doubles, claiming a win on court 5 behind Slava Gulin (Moscow, Russia).

"We had our chances today," UTSA second year head coach Sergey Avdeyev said. "We just could not convert important points. We had to adjust to outdoor tennis after playing the last two matches inside. We trailed behind on most the courts. Overall, we saw lots of positives over the last three matches. Our team is excited to continue to get back to work."

The Roadrunners will return to action on Thursday, hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the UTSA Tennis Center.
