IRVING, Texas — The 2024 American Athletic Conference Softball Championship field was announced on Thursday, with UTSA receiving the No. 9 seed under first-year head coach Vann Stuedeman.
UTSA will open the tournament against No. 4 seed and host school Wichita State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (CT) inside Wilkins Stadium.
Florida Atlantic was issued the No. 1 seed, following a 21-6 conference slate, while Charlotte is slotted second and North Texas third.
Tulsa will enter as the fifth seed, with UAB sixth, East Carolina seventh, and South Florida eighth. Rounding out the group, Memphis was selected as the 10th seed.
All games of the 2024 American Softball Championship are scheduled to air live on ESPN+, and the conference championship game is set for May 11 at 11 a.m. nationally broadcast on ESPN2.
