UTSA postpones first football practice

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA’s first-ever football practice fell victim to Tropical Storm Hermine on Tuesday, as the Roadrunners were forced to postpone their inaugural workout at Dub Farris Stadium. The session will be made up at a date to be determined later this fall.

Head coach Larry Coker, his staff and UTSA’s roster of 69 players now will hit the field at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Farris Stadium, followed by a 3 p.m. workout on Thursday.

Below is a revised Week 1 practice schedule.

Wednesday, Sept. 8 — 8-10 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 9 — 3-3:30 p.m.

All practices will be held at Dub Farris Stadium (southeast of Loop 1604 & Hausman Road/map below), unless otherwise noted, and are open to the public. Parking is open at the north end of the facility and fans can enter through the northeast gate. Spectators are asked to sit on the east (non-press box) side and you must remain in the stands at all times when watching practice. The west side of the stadium is for UTSA Football use only and is closed to the public. There are no concessions available.
