SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will look to keep its winning streak alive on Monday when it travels to Nacogdooches for the Southland Pre-Conference meet. The women's 6,000-meter run is scheduled to start at 9:45 a.m. at Piney Woods Country Club, which will be the site of this year's league championship meet on Oct. 31.

A total of 61 athletes will compete, as Central Arkansas, Lon Morris, Northwestern State, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State will join the Roadrunners in the seven-team field.

UTSA has been victorious is each of its last two outings.

The Roadrunners followed their win at the TLU Preview two weeks ago with another team title at last week's Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas/H-E-B Classic. It marked the program's second triumph in the last three seasons at its annual home meet.

Sophomore Nina Herrera is leading the way, as she has been named Southland Athlete of the Week the past two Tuesdays. The El Paso native has finished second overall and as the top collegian at the team's last two meets.
