FRISCO — Sophomore Nina Herrera was tabbed Southland Conference Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Herrera's second-place finish helped lead UTSA to its
second consecutive meet championship at last Friday's Ricardo Romo/Six Flags
Fiesta Texas/H-E-B Classic. The Roadrunners won their annual home meet
for the second time in the last three seasons.
The El Paso native finished as the
top collegian for the second consecutive week after covering the
5,000-meter Park West Athletics Complex loop in 17:58.2. Her performance
