COLLEGE STATION — UTSA jumped out to a 3-0 lead before an extended rain delay, but the Roadrunners were limited to only one run after the three hour and 12 minute interruption and No. 18 Texas A&M rallied for an 11-4 victory on Tuesday night at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The Roadrunners (16-13) plated three unearned runs in the opening frame and held the advantage until play was halted in the middle of the fourth inning due to rain and lightning.

Following the delay, the Aggies (19-11) exploded for six runs in the bottom of the fourth to claim the lead for good.

In the deciding panel, Texas A&M sent 12 batters to plate, tallied five hits and took advantage of a pair of two-out errors by UTSA. Krey Bratsen legged out a bases-loaded infield single which pushed across the go-ahead run for the Aggies with two outs.

Logan Onda (0-1) was handed the loss after allowing six runs (two earned) on five hits in two-thirds of an inning.

Meanwhile, Kyle Martin (3-4) picked up the victory after two scoreless stanzas in relief.

The Roadrunners' lone run after the delay came on a seventh-inning solo home run by Daniel Rockett.

Texas A&M added two marks in the bottom of the frame and a pair in the eighth to cap the scoring.

Each team tallied 14 hits on the night and struggled in the field. UTSA committed five errors, while the Aggies were charged with four.

Riley Good, RJ Perucki and Tony Ramirez all registered three hits to pace the Roadrunners offensively. Ramirez also drove in two, while Rockett was 2-for-5 with a homer and an RBI.

Texas A&M received three hits apiece from Blake Allemand and Brandon Wood, while Logan Taylor drove in a pair.

UTSA will return to action on Friday, April 5, for the opener of a three-game Western Athletic Conference series at Seattle. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT).
