FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Sophomore Mike Medrano led UTSA to a 12th-place finish at Friday's NCAA South Central Regional.

UTSA's other scorers included junior Nathan Collier (64th/32:55.2) and senior Daniel Balbontin (76th/33:16.3).

The Roadrunners finished the meet with 273 points en route to 12th place.

Defending champion Texas won the team title with 38 and Arkansas earned the other berth to next weekend's NCAA Championships with its runner-up showing (53).

Meanwhile, Texas A&M's Henry Lelei successfully defended his individual crown in 29:36.5.
