STILLWATER, Okla. — UTSA saw its three-meet winning streak come to an end on Saturday, but the Roadrunners still were able to record a solid showing with a 10th-place performance at the prestigious Cowboys Jamboree.

Leading the way was senior Albert Cardenas, who ran the 8,000-meter OSU Cross Country Course in 24:40.21, and that was good for 21st place in 324-man field.

Fellow senior Cole Reveal was the next Roadrunner to cross the finish line, as he placed 41st in 24:58.93. Other UTSA scorers included senior Brandon Chiuminetta (85th/25:35.25), redshirt freshman Mike Medrano (88th/25:37.12) and sophomore Joaquin Ortegon (152nd/26:34.33).

UTSA, which was competing for the second time in the last six days, scored 314 points and that was good for 10th in the 29-team field.

Meet host Oklahoma State easily won the team championship with 54 points on the strength of four runners in the top seven, while Northern Arizona's Diego Estrada won the individual title in 23:34.34.

This year marked the 74th edition of the meet, making it the oldest in the nation.

The Roadrunners return to action in two weeks when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Chile Pepper Festival.
