NACOGDOCHES — Led by senior Cole Reveal's third-place finish, UTSA won its third consecutive team championship on Monday morning at the Southland Pre-Conference meet at Piney Woods Country Club.

Reveal covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:00.55 and was the second collegian to cross the finish line. It marked the Frisco native's third consecutive top-three finish to open the 2011 campaign.

Fellow senior Albert Cardenas, who clocked a 26:00.72, was one spot behind his teammate in fourth place.

Other Roadrunners scorers included redshirt freshman Brady Hand (15th/27:00.22), senior Brandon Chiuminetta (17th/27:04.37) and freshman Harvinder Singh (27:15.65).

UTSA netted 55 points and edged host Stephen F. Austin by four tallies for the team title. Louisiana Monroe's Daniel Mutai won the individual crown in 25:21.20.

There will be no rest for the weary, as the Roadrunners return to action on Saturday at Cowboys Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla. The men's 8k will start at 9:45 a.m.
