SAN ANTONIO —
UTSA will look to keep its winning streak alive on Monday when it
travels to Nacogdooches for the Southland Pre-Conference meet. The men's 8,000-meter run is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at Piney
Woods Country Club, which will be the site of this year's league
championship meet on Oct. 31.
A total of 73 athletes will compete, as Central Arkansas, Lon Morris,
Northwestern State, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State
will join the Roadrunners in the seven-team field.
UTSA has been victorious is each of its last two outings.
The
Roadrunners followed their win at the TLU Preview two weeks ago with
another team title at last week's Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta
Texas/H-E-B Classic.
Senior Cole Reveal's victory helped propel the Roadrunners to their second team title in the last three years at their annual home
meet. Reveal covered the 5,000-meter course in
14:52.1 to lead four UTSA runners that placed in the top eight. It
marked the second time in the last three years that the Frisco native
finished as the meet's top collegian.
