RUSTON, La. — UTSA rallied from a 2-0 deficit by scoring three times in the seventh and the Roadrunners completed a sweep at Louisiana Tech with a 3-2 victory on Saturday at J.C. Love Field.

UTSA (31-23, 15-11 WAC) loaded the bases with two outs in the seventh. Riley Good lined a two-run single the bounced off shortstop Taylor Terrasas' glove and into center field. John Welborn, who was hit by a pitch in front of Good, went around to third base and then scored the go-ahead run when Corey White's throw from center went wide of the bag.

Nolan Trabanino and Matt Sims made the lead hold up, as the two hurlers combined to allow only a walk and a single in the final three frames.

Trabanino retired the Bulldogs (19-37, 6-21 WAC) in order in the seventh and then walked the leadoff man in the following panel.

Sims was called in from the bullpen and he promptly picked off the runner at first base before retiring the next two hitters on a strikeout and ground out. Sims yielded a leadoff single to start the ninth, but he then retired the next three hitters he faced, including two by punchout, to earn his eighth save of the campaign.

Trabanino (4-3) allowed only a pair of unearned runs on five hits in seven-plus stanzas.

Horacio Correa III again paced the Roadrunners at the plate with a pair of singles, while Good was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

Louisiana Tech took a two-run lead in the fourth after UTSA committed a pair of errors on the same play.

Terrassas led off the inning with a double and, two batters later, Tyler Ervine hit a ball to the left side of the infield. Correa III's throw to first was in the dirt and Mike Warren was unable to scoop the ball, which allowed Terrassas to advance to third. Ervine then broke for second and Warren's thrown deflected off the runner and into left field, which allowed Terrassas to score. Two batters later, Bre'shon Kimbell drove in Ervine with a single through the right side of the infield.

It took three more frames before UTSA answered.

With two outs in the seventh, Warren was hit by a Trevor Petersen pitch and John Bormann then reached on fielder's choice. Peterson followed by hitting Welborn with an offering and that loaded the bases for Good.

Peterson (3-6) gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits in his 7.1 frames.

UTSA will enter next week's WAC Tournament in Grand Prairie as the No. 4 seed and the Roadrunners are guaranteed three games in the pool-play event. Game times for the tournament have yet to be announced, but UTSA will begin play on Wednesday, May 22, against fifth-seeded Sacramento State (33-23).
