SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will open its 2012 home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 8, when it hosts Texas A&M-Commerce in a 1 p.m. contest at the Alamodome.

The Roadrunners are coming off last Saturday’s thrilling 33-31 come-from-behind victory at South Alabama, which was the program’s first-ever road win, as well as first against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) foe.

UTSA, which is making the jump to the FBS this fall as a member of the Western Athletic Conference, is coming off an inaugural campaign that saw it post a 4-6 record as a Football Championship Subdivision independent.
