UTSA to square off with Middle Tennessee on Wednesday night

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will face its most daunting test to date when it travels to first-place Middle Tennessee for a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday.

UTSA (11-6, 2-2 C-USA) enters Wednesday’s showdown fresh off an emotional 58-56 victory at North Texas that saw senior guard Miki Turner hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to claim the Roadrunners second straight conference victory.

The Blue Raiders (15-3, 4-0 C-USA) enter the matchup having won 14 consecutive games and they only have lost to Southeastern Conference foes Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee this season. Middle Tennessee is led by Ebony Rowe, who ranks second in Conference USA in both scoring and rebounds per game.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the schools.
