SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA track & field teams will be back in action on Saturday at the Texas Invitational.

The one-day meet will feature athletes from eight teams, including the nationally-ranked Longhorns (No. 5 men/No. 7 women), Baylor (No. 19 men/No. 24 women) and Texas Tech (No. 14 men/No. 14 women), as well as Cal State Northridge, Houston, TCU and Texas State.

Field events start at 1 p.m. and running events begin three hours later (click here for the complete meet schedule).

Roscoe Robinson led the UTSA men two weeks ago with a school-record measurement of 25-9 ¼ (7.85m) in the long jump. Just the fourth athlete in program history to break the 25-foot barrier, he now leads the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) standings and is fourth on the national leaderboard. Meanwhile, two other Roadrunners — Christopher Hall (400m) and Kerry Thompson (high jump) — currently reside atop the league leaderboard.

The women recorded six victories to go along with a combined total of 21 podium finishes at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Trinity Tigers Relays. The Roadrunners have captured nine gold medals this spring and Alyssa Diaz currently leads the WAC in the 10,000 meters.
