NACOGDOCHES — Stephen F. Austin scored six unearned runs with the help of seven UTSA errors en route to a 9-1 run-rule victory in six innings on Thursday afternoon at the SFA Softball Field.

Brittany Lewis allowed just three hits and struck out four, while the Ladyjacks (12-12) got a pair of RBIs each from Elizabeth Arana and Shalie Day. With the complete-game victory, Lewis evened her season record to 4-4.

Meanwhile, Megan Low hit her 11th home run of the season and second in as many days for the Roadrunners (11-15).

Chelsea Parker got the start in the circle and allowed three runs, two of which were earned, in two innings to fall to 1-4.

Stephen F. Austin jumped ahead 3-0 on three hits and a pair of errors in the first inning and pushed the lead to 5-0 with two runs in the third. Two more UTSA miscues led to a run in the fifth before Low broke up the shutout with her blast to left field.

However, that would be all of the offense that the Roadrunners could muster and the Ladyjacks tagged reliever Kacy Freeze for three runs on just one hit and two errors in the sixth to end the game.

UTSA will return to Conference USA action with a three-game series at North Texas (17-7, 3-0 C-USA), beginning with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
