DALLAS — FOX Sports (FS) Southwest announced
Friday that it will televise a weekly 30-minute magazine show this fall titled
"UTSA Football Insider" that once again will feature the school's football program.
The series will premiere with a special edition at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug.
27. The show then will begin its regular time slot
the following week at 4:30 p.m. each Thursday throughout the season.
Veteran FS Southwest sportscaster Bill Land will host the
program and will be joined by UTSA head coach Larry Coker and his staff to
provide analysis on the Roadrunners as they enter their second season of
competition.
"UTSA Football Insider" will give fans an all-access look of all aspects of the program
with game highlights and previews in addition to feature stories on players and
activities around the UTSA campus supporting the team.
The Roadrunners enjoyed a banner inaugural season in 2011 that saw them set
NCAA start-up program records for first-game (56,743) and average home (35,521)
attendance.
FS Southwest was there along the way, as it chronicled the start of the program and
its successful first season in the reality sports documentary series "UTSA
Football: The Birth of a Program."
The Roadrunners open their second season of play on Thursday, Aug.
30, at South Alabama, while UTSA's home opener will be played nine days later against Texas
A&M-Commerce at the Alamodome.
