SAN ANTONIO — The Southland Conference Tournament Champion UTSA women's soccer team will host a watch party on Monday at the Chili's Too located on the Main Campus. The NCAA Tournament selection show is scheduled to air at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
The three-week tournament will begin with first- and second-round play on Nov. 12 at 16 campus sites that will feature four teams each. The remaining 16 teams then will play from Nov. 19-21, followed by the national quarterfinals from Nov. 26-28.
The final four teams will travel to Cary, N.C., for the Women's College Cup. The semifinals will be contested on Dec. 3 at WakeMed Soccer Park, followed by the National Championship match two days later.
The Roadrunners (13-7-2) earned the Southland's automatic bid to the NCAAs by running the table at this weekend's postseason tournament in San Marcos. UTSA defeated Lamar (1-0), Stephen F. Austin (1-1/5-4 in shootout) and Regular Season Champion Southeastern Louisiana (1-0/OT) en route to the program's first-ever conference title in its five-year history.
