UTSA looks to remain hot on Saturday night against Old Dominion
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will look to extend its winning streak to three games on Saturday when it hosts Old Dominion at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
The contest will also mark UTSA's participation in the annual Play 4 Kay "Pink" game initiative. Supporters are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
The Roadrunners (13-12, 4-8 C-USA) have rebounded from a six-game losing streak to win their past two outings, including Thursday’s 61-60 victory against then third-place East Carolina. Tesha Smith posted her third career double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while junior Kamra King set new career highs for free throws (13) and attempts (18) on her way to 17 points.
Meanwhile, Old Dominion (12-14, 5-7 C-USA) is coming off a dominating performance on Wednesday at Rice. The Monarchs, who posted an 85-49 victory, have won three of their past five games and sit one game ahead of UTSA in the league standings.
Saturday will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
