Roadrunners to host East Carolina on Thursday night
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will look to carry the momentum from Saturday's victory at Rice, its first win since Jan. 18, into Thursday night when it hosts East Carolina at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
The Roadrunners (12-12, 3-8 C-USA) held off Rice by a score of 63-61, as Tesha Smith scored 15 of her team-high 17 points in the second half to secure the victory. Kamra King added 16 and Ashley Spaletta pitched in another dozen to round out UTSA’s double figure scorers.
Meanwhile, East Carolina (21-3, 9-2 C-USA) will come to the Alamo City on a five-game winning streak, including Saturday’s 56-49 home victory against North Texas. The Pirates' only conference losses of the season have come on the road and in overtime at FIU (Jan. 11) and Southern Miss (Jan. 25).
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
