UTSA to take on Rice in Houston on Saturday afternoon
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will finish a two-game road trip on Saturday when it travels to Rice for a 2 p.m. contest at Tudor Fieldhouse.
The Roadrunners (11-12, 2-8 C-USA) have lost six consecutive games and will be in search of their first victory since Jan. 18. Junior guard Kamra King became the 14th player in program history to score at least 900 career points in Wednesday’s loss at UAB.
Rice (11-12, 4-6 C-USA) snapped a five-game losing skid on Wednesday at Tulsa. Jessica Kuster tallied 24 points and 11 rebounds and Christal Porter also contributed a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards.
This will be the 11th all-time meeting between the two schools with UTSA holding a 7-3 lead. The Owls downed the Roadrunners by a score of 43-41 last season on Dec. 20 in the Bayou City.
