UTSA to face Denver in Mile High City on Thursday night

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will open the second half of its Western Athletic Conference slate on Thursday with an 8 p.m. (CT) matchup at Denver.
The Roadrunners (11-9, 5-4 WAC), who have won their last four road games, enter the contest in a tie for fourth place in the league standings, while the Pioneers (9-11, 4-5 WAC) sit seventh.
Behind a game-high 22 points from sophomore Morgan Van Riper-Rose, Denver held on for a 75-73 victory at UTSA on Jan. 5. The Birds were led by sophomore Kamra King's 18 points, while senior Lyndi Thorman and junior Miki Turner each added a dozen.
