UTSA to take on Tulane on Saturday
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will welcome Tulane to the Alamo City for a 4 p.m. tilt on at the Convocation Center.
UTSA (11-10, 2-6 C-USA) will meet the Green Wave for the fourth time in program history but the first time as conference opponents. Tulane picked up its first win in the all-time series in the last meeting on Dec. 21, 2007, with a 76-42 victory in New Orleans. The Roadrunners won the first two games of the series, both at the Convocation Center.
After beginning its Conference USA slate with a 2-2 mark, the Roadrunners have stumbled of late with four consecutive double-digit losses in conference play. UTSA will hope to have starting point guard Miki Turner back for Saturday's action after the senior sat out Thursday night's loss to FIU with an ankle injury.
The Green Wave enters the game fresh off a thrilling 56-55 comeback victory against North Texas when they trailed by as much as 20 points in the first half. The go-ahead bucket came on Tiffany Dale's layup with four seconds remaining.
