“We’re thrilled and humbled that the campus community has come up with a new tradition to help support the football program on the Friday before home games,” head coach Larry Coker said. “The support from the students, faculty and staff has been incredible and honestly more than I could have ever envisioned. The coaching staff and all of our players certainly appreciate everything the UTSA family has done to show their spirit for our program.”

"Rowdy Rally" will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. Rowdy the Roadrunner will charge through the Paseo, followed by the UTSA Marching Band. The attendees will learn a new UTSA cheer every week to take with them to the Alamodome. The campus will be showered in orange, from the UTSA shirts, signage, flags and a delicious orange crush ice cream float. The campus will roar with pride as the football team parades through the Paseo, UC and then loads the buses to go downtown.

Athletics also will have a booth set up with tailgating information and ticket sales.

“Our gloriously rowdy fans helped us set NCAA attendance records last season and they are the backbone of our motivation throughout the season,” sophomore center Nate Leonard said. “So much so, that they never leave me without a chill up my spine.”

Don’t miss the chance to be a part of the newest UTSA tradition.
