SAN ANTONIO — No. 3 seed UTSA will take on second-seeded Idaho at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in the first semifinal of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, which is being played at the Convocation Center.

The Roadrunners (21-8) advanced on Monday after sweeping No. 6 San Jose State in the event’s first quarterfinal and they extended their winning streak to eight matches.

Meanwhile, the Vandals (16-13) advanced to the semis after knocking off seventh-seeded Texas State in four sets.

The two teams split their two regular season meetings. Idaho won in four sets in Moscow on Sept. 29 and UTSA returned the favor a month later in the Alamo City.
