MOSCOW, Idaho — UTSA took the opening set, but Idaho rallied to win the next three for a 20-25, 28-26, 25-13, 25-22 victory on Saturday night. The loss ended the Roadrunners’ four-match winning streak.

The Vandals (6-10, 4-2 WAC) received a career-high 29 kills from Allison Walker to lead the come-from-behind triumph, while Jenny Feicht handed out 41 assists and Janelle Chow collected 25 digs.

Juniors McKenzie Adams and Brandy Huskey each recorded double-doubles for the Roadrunners (10-5, 3-2 WAC). Adams logged 21 winners and 13 digs, while Huskey tallied a match-high 43 assists to go along with 16 digs. Senior Whitney Walls added 16 kills and freshman Annie Kunes tied for the match lead with 25 stops.

After UTSA picked up a five-point victory in the opening panel, Idaho put together a late push to tie things up heading into intermission.

The Birds held a 26-25 lead in the set before Alex Sele tied it up on a winner. UTSA then committed back-to-back attack errors to close out the set.

The Vandals carried the momentum into the third panel and reeled off a 9-1 run to take command. The Roadrunners never recovered and Idaho cruised to a 12-point victory.

With the final frame tied at 10, the Birds committed another attack error and the Vandals took control and never looked back. Idaho stretched the advantage to as much as five and held off UTSA's final surge to clinch the victory.

UTSA will return to the friendly confines of the Convocation Center on Thursday, Oct. 4, when it hosts Louisiana Tech (3-14, 0-5 WAC) at 6:30 p.m.
