SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will host three Western Athletic Conference (WAC) contests this weekend. The Roadrunners will face Idaho at 4 p.m. on Friday, UT Arlington at 10 a.m. the following day and New Mexico State at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
UTSA (5-9, 0-3 WAC) has lost four consecutive matches, including back-to-back shutouts at the hands of then-No. 63 Denver and Louisiana Tech last weekend.
Isabelle Jonsson and Jacobea Junger each have collected seven singles wins to pace the Birds, while Junger and Daniela Garcia-Diaz have netted a team-high five victories at No. 2 doubles.
The Vandals (6-8, 0-1 WAC) will return to action after having two weeks off from the court. In its last outing, Idaho dropped a 6-1 decision to the Pioneers, which snapped a three-match winning streak.
The Mavericks (4-9, 3-2) also saw their three-match winning streak come to an end with a 4-2 setback against No. 66 San Jose State last Saturday. UT Arlington has picked up its three conference victories against Seattle, Texas State and Utah State.
The Aggies (5-11, 1-3 WAC) have lost four of their last five matches, including a 4-3 decision to intrastate rival New Mexico last Saturday. New Mexico State logged its lone league win against Seattle.
UTSA will honor its three seniors — Natalie Hand, Mariel Maffezzolli and Kavya Menon — prior to Sunday's contest.
