BEAUMONT — UTSA wrapped up its regular season with a 5-2 win against Nicholls on Thursday at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners (6-12, 3-8 SLC) earned a pair of straight-sets victories in singles play against the Colonels (10-12, 3-8 SLC).
Junior Stefanie Peana picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at the top flight, while sophomore Kavya Menon collected a 6-0, 6-1 win at the No. 5 slot. Senior Caroline Dedering closed out her UTSA career with a three-set victory (6-1, 3-6, 1-0 [11-9]) at the No. 4 position to wrap up the season-ending triumph.
The Colonels, which were knocked out of contention for the Southland Conference Tournament with the loss, defaulted both the third doubles and sixth singles matches.
