SAN MARCOS — UTSA dropped its sixth consecutive outing on Sunday when it was swept at Texas State.

The Roadrunners (4-11, 1-7 SLC) dropped all three doubles tilts to open the match. The Bobcats (9-7, 5-4 SLC) then won all six singles matches, including five of the six in straight sets.

Sophomore Mariel Maffezzolli won the second set of her No. 4 singles contest to force a deciding third stanza, Jessica Laing bounced back to close out the match with a victory.

UTSA will wrap up regular-season play next weekend with a pair of league matches at home against Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin.
