BEAUMONT — The UTSA women's tennis squad dropped its fourth consecutive match in a 7-0 loss at Lamar on Saturday afternoon.

The Roadrunners (4-9, 1-5 SLC) received only one win after senior Caroline Dedering and junior Katie Ottenbreit won their doubles match, but it was not enough to pick up the point, as Lamar (13-2, 5-1 SLC) swept the remaining matches.

Dedering and Ottenbreit picked up an 8-7 (7-5) tiebreaker win against Helene Czudek and Diana Mendez.

The Lady Cardinals won the other two doubles matches by identical 8-3 scores and took all six singles matches in straight sets.

UTSA continues its weekend road trip on Sunday at McNeese State (3-7, 0-5 SLC). First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
