No. 66 San Jose State downs UTSA on Friday, 4-1

MOSCOW, Idaho — No. 66 San Jose State posted a 4-1 victory against UTSA on Friday at the Memorial Gym Tennis Courts on the campus of the University of Idaho.

The Roadrunners (6-12, 1-6 WAC) lost four of the six singles matches.

Irene Gandara Gonzalez picked up UTSA's lone point with a 6-3, 6-1 triumph against Amber Walker at the sixth position.

Meanwhile, the Spartans (15-5, 7-1 WAC) earned all four of their points with straight-sets victories.

The fifth singles spot went unfinished with Kavya Menon leading by a set and the three scheduled doubles matches were not played.

The Roadrunners will wrap up the regular season at 12 p.m. (CT) on Saturday against Seattle.
