SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its fall campaign this weekend when it competes at the ITA Regional Championships in Waco. The five-day event begins on Friday morning at the Hurd Tennis Center.

An eight-player contingent — seniors Natalie Hand and Kavya Menon, junior Isabelle Jonsson, sophomores Irene Gandara Gonzalez and Daniela Garcia-Diaz and freshmen Jacobea Junger, Miranda Poile and Alena Shichkova — will represent the Roadrunners in both doubles and singles play.

UTSA has been off for the last two weekends and last competed at the Roadrunners Fall Invitational. The squad netted a total of 17 victories in its annual home tournament, including 11 in singles play. Jonsson and Junger each won a pair of singles matches on the final day of competition, while Garcia-Diaz and Shichkova both recorded triumphs on the singles and doubles courts.
