INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — UTSA learned Monday that it will be the No. 4 seed at this weekend's NCAA Tournament Corvallis Regional, which will be played from Friday-Sunday at Goss Stadium in Corvallis, Ore.

The Roadrunners (35-23), who earned the Western Athletic Conference’s automatic bid with Sunday’s 11-4 victory against Dallas Baptist, will face No. 3 national seed Oregon State (45-10) at 7 p.m. (CT) on Friday and the game will be broadcast by ESPN3.

The Beavers finished 24-6 in Pac-12 Conference play to win the league by two games over intrastate rival Oregon. This will be the fourth time (2005-06 & 2011) that Oregon State has hosted a regional and the two-time National Champions (2006-07) are a perfect 9-0 when playing as the host school.

Texas A&M (32-27) earned the regional’s No. 2 seed and it will face third-seeded UC Santa Barbara (34-23) at 2 p.m. (CT) on Friday.

The Aggies went 13-16 to finish sixth in the Southeastern Conference’s West Division, while the Gauchos won their final six series of the season to finish second in the Big West Conference (17-10).

Oregon State topped UTSA by a score of 10-7 in 10 innings on Feb. 28, 2011, at Wolff Stadium in the only previous meeting between the two squads. Meanwhile, Texas A&M holds a 21-9 edge in the all-time series against the Roadrunners, including an 11-4 victory on April 2 earlier this spring in College Station. UTSA and UCSB never have met.

The winner of the Corvallis Regional will face the victor of the Manhattan (Kan.) Regional, which features host Kansas State (41-17), Arkansas (37-20), Bryant (44-16-1) and Wichita State (39-26).
