Texas State registered four hits, including Ben McElroy's two-run double, in the decisive stanza.

The Bobcats went on to add three insurance runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

Selsor (4-7) gave up five runs on five hits and walked six in 3.2 frames.

The set originally was scheduled to continue on Saturday in San Antonio, but due to unplayable field conditions at the Bird Bath, all the remianing games will be played in San Marcos. The series will continue at 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday's finale is slated for 1 p.m.
