ROCHESTER, Minn. — Junior-to-be Daniel Rockett was named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team, the league office announced on Monday.

Rockett hit .305 with 72 hits, 16 doubles, eight home runs and a team-high 53 RBIs in 64 games in leading the Battle Creek (Mich.) Bombers to the South Division overall crown. He earned mid-season All-Star accolades after helping the club to the first-half division title and finished second in the circuit in RBIs.

A year ago, the Sugar Land native was the Hawai'i Collegiate Baseball League's Most Valuable Player after leading the Waikiki Surfers to the league championship.

Rockett and the Bombers (43-26) begin the Northwoods League Playoffs with the South Division Series against Green Bay (42-47) this week.
