LUBBOCK — Senior utility man Casey Selsor was one of 20 players named the College Baseball Hall of Fame's John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year watch list, the organization announced on Monday. It marks the second consecutive year that Selsor has been included on the list.

The Olerud Award, which recognizes the nation's top two-way player, will be presented in Lubbock on June 30 as a part of the College Baseball Hall of Fame's Night of Champions.

Selsor, who has started 39 games this season (21 1B/9 RF/8 DH/1 LF), leads UTSA with a .315 (45-for-143) batting average to go along with nine doubles, eight triples, one home run and 25 RBIs. The San Antonio native leads the Roadrunners with 14 stolen bases and also has recorded 14 multi-hit contests.

In addition to his success at the plate, Selsor owns a 4-6 record in 12 starts on the mound this spring. The 6-foot-3 left-hander has registered a rotation-best 4.56 ERA and also leads the club with 75 innings pitched. He also has struck out 47 batters and hurled a pair of complete games.

The 2008 37th-round draft pick by the Washington Nationals is slated to start on the mound for UTSA (20-27, 9-17 SLC) in Friday night's opening game of the I-35 rivalry series at Texas State. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Bobcat Ballpark.
