SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will begin a four-game series with Columbia at 6 p.m. on Friday at Roadrunner Field.

UTSA (12-5) is coming off Tuesday's 9-2 victory at No. 18 Sam Houston State. Johnny Bench Award Watch List member John Bormann had his first-ever multi-home run game and tied a career-high with five RBIs to lead the Roadrunners to their sixth win in the last seven games.

Meanwhile, Columbia (4-4) has split four-game series with both South Florida and Kennesaw State to begin the season. Jordan Serena, who has team-highs of a .419 batting average, 13 hits and 10 runs scored, leads the Lions offense.

Following Friday night’s first-ever meeting between the two programs, the series will continue with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and conclude at the same time the following day.
