ST. GEORGE, Utah — Freshman Fabiola Arriaga shot a final-round 72 on Tuesday and she helped lead UTSA to a fourth-place finish at the BYU Entrada Classic.

The Roadrunners, who finished the two-day event with a 926 (316-305-305), tied with No. 44 BYU and ahead of 46th-ranked Tulsa.

Arriaga's round was the squad's lowest of the day and brought her into a tie for 15th on the individual leaderboard with a 230 (76-82-72). After a pair of bogeys, she birdied Nos. 10, 12 and 15 to move to one-under-par before a bogey on the final hole put her at even for the day.

Not far behind was freshman Taylor Newlin, whose final round of 75 pulled her into a tie for 22nd with a 232 (78-79-75). The Frisco native fired birdies on Nos. 1 and 8 during the final 18 holes.

Meanwhile, sophomore Paola Valerio finished tied for 26th with a 234 (82-77-75) thanks to birdies on Nos. 1 and 16.

The trio improved their scores from the second round by at least two strokes apiece, while Arriaga lowered her mark by 10.

Juniors Summer Batiste and Shannon Jungman rounded out UTSA's scoring with a 238 (80-75-83/t-39th) and a 246 (88-74-84/t-56th), respectively.

Wisconsin held off a late charge by Oklahoma State to take the team title with a 914 (313-302-299), while New Mexico State's Demi Mak carded a 218 (74-74-70) to earn individual medalist honors.

The Roadrunners will be back in action from April 11-12 when they head to Waco for the Baylor Invitational.
