AUGUSTA, Ga. Freshman Fabiola Arriaga recorded a personal-best 222, including a final-round 73 on Monday, and she helped lead UTSA to a third-place finish at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Invitational.

Arriaga carded birdies on Nos. 4, 8 and 10 and sat at two-under-par after 12 holes before bogeys on Nos. 13, 16 and 18 bumped her into a tie for 13th, which was her best finish as a Roadrunner.

Junior Shannon Jungman had the best score of the day, a 72, to record a season-low 223 (74-77-72) and she finished tied for 16th. The Pflugerville native carded three birdies, including one on hole No. 18.

Not far behind was sophomore Paola Valerio and freshman Taylor Newlin, who finished tied for 20th and 30th, respectively.

Valerio finished with a 225 (72-72-81) after carding birdies on Nos. 6 and 17, while Newlin sat at even-par or one-under for most of the day before a double-bogey on No. 17 brought her to plus-two for the round. The final round 74 brought her to a 226 (79-73-74) and up three spots on the individual leaderboard.

No. 8 Purdue used a final-round 275 to overtake host Augusta State for the team title with an 859 (290-294-275). The Lady Jaguars' Casey Kennedy continued her dominance on the individual standings and finished with a 205 (68-66-71) to win the event by five strokes.

UTSA will hit the links again next week at the BYU Entrada Classic. The two-day tournament begins on Monday, March 21.
