AUGUSTA, Ga. — Sophomore Paola Valerio shot a pair of 72s on Sunday, which has her in second place on the individual leaderboard, and the UTSA women's golf team sits in third place with two-round total of 591 (296-295) at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate.

Valerio recorded nine birdies on the day and four Roadrunners are in the top 30 heading into Monday's final round.

After a bogey to start her first round of the day, the Mexico City native carded three consecutive birdies on Nos. 9, 10 and 11 to reach two-under before finishing at even-par. In the second round, she got as low as three-under before bogeys on Nos. 3, 4 and 6 brought her to par.

Freshman Fabiola Arriaga will head into the final round looking for her third top-20 finish of the season after shooting an opening-day 149 (74-75), which is good for 18th place. She birdied two of her final three holes in the first round and closed out the second with a birdie.

Juniors Summer Batiste and Shannon Jungman each shot 151 on the day and are tied for 28th.

Batiste (76-75) carded her second eagle of the year in the opening 18 after finding the bottom of the cup in three strokes on the par five, 487-yard sixth hole.

Meanwhile, Jungman (74-77) recorded five birdies on the day, including the opening hole of the tournament.

UTSA sits four strokes ahead of No. 45 Coastal Carolina and seven behind No. 8 Purdue. All three schools trail host Augusta State, which leads the 17-team field with a 582 (289-293). Casey Kennedy of the Lady Jaguars sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 134 after carding the two best rounds of the day (66/68).

The final round will be played on Monday.
