AUSTIN — UTSA recorded a total of six podium finishes on Saturday at the Longhorns Invitational.
Leading the way was Jonas Gutierrez, who clocked a career-best 14.45 in a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles. That performance pushed him up to third on this season's Western Athletic Conference (WAC) leaderbord.
Other Roadrunners collecting silver medals at the one-day meet included Chrisshun Jamerson (800m/season-best 1:54.59), Roscoe Robinson (long jump/24-11 ¼/7.60m) and Jumarcus Shelvin (400m hurdles/PR 52.09).
Meanwhile, Brady Hand (1:54.78) and Joshua Smith (52.13) raced to third-place efforts in the 800m and 400m hurdles, respectively.
UTSA will return to action next weekend at the Bobcats Invitational in San Marcos. The two-day meet, which begins on Friday, April 26, will be the team's final tune-up for the WAC Championships (May 8-11 in Arlington).
