No. 47 Middle Tennessee sweeps Roadrunners on Friday afternoon

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — No. 47 Middle Tennessee swept UTSA on Friday in a match between future Conference USA foes.

The Roadrunners (4-3) dropped two of the three doubles contests and lost five of the six singles matches in straight sets.

The lone singles tilt that went the distance was at the top spot, where Ben Davis outlasted Martin Ayala by scores of 6-2, 2-6 and 6-4. Ayala also teamed up with Diogo Casa for the team's lone double triumph (8-4).

UTSA returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Lipscomb (3-3).
