FRISCO — Senior Daniel Moser and freshman David Kelleher both were named first-team All-Southland Conference to headline a circuit-high total of eight UTSA honorees, the league office announced on Thursday.

Moser, now a two-time first-team selection at No. 6 singles, owns an 11-9 mark this spring, including wins in four of his five Southland matches. The Texarkana native has won nine of his last 11 outings.

Meanwhile, Kelleher was named to the conference's top team at No. 5 singles after going a perfect 5-0 in league play. He leads UTSA with a 15-3 overall ledger and has won seven consecutive matches dating back to March 20. Kelleher has netted 12 of his 15 victories in straight sets this season.

Two Roadrunners doubles teams joined Kelleher and Moser on the first team.

Senior Pedro Zanotelli and sophomore Yannick Junger were selected at the No. 1 position after cruising through league play with a spotless 5-0 mark. The duo has posted a 12-7 overall record this year, which includes wins in last five matches.

Sophomore Kolby Kilgo and freshman Joel Rubio also landed on the league's top squad at the No. 3 spot after netting a 3-1 ledger against conference competition. Kilgo, a Waco native, earned his second consecutive all-conference nod in doubles play, while Rubio, who hails from Arneda, Spain, also earned second-team honors at No. 4 singles.

Meanwhile, juniors Martin Ayala and Tyler Brown rounded out the Roadrunners' selections after they garnered second-team laurels at No. 2 doubles. The pairing finished 3-1 in Southland action.

Fourth-seeded UTSA (11-10) will open Southland Tournament play at 10 a.m. on Friday against regular season champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (11-11). The Roadrunners handed the Islanders their lone conference loss by a score of 4-3 on April 14.
