SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will head to Lubbock this weekend for a pair of matches against No. 29 Texas Tech and New Mexico State. The meeting with the Red Raiders will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, while the Roadrunners will match up with the Aggies at the same time the following day.

UTSA (7-8), which has won two of its last three matches, is coming off a home sweep of UMBC on Tuesday.

Three Roadrunners have won back-to-back singles tilts, including sophomore Yannick Junger, who owns a team-best 10-5 record this spring. Meanwhile, junior Tyler Brown and freshman David Kelleher each have netted nine victories. The duo of Brown and junior Martin Ayala have collected a team-high eight wins in doubles action.

Texas Tech (8-6) slipped out of ITA's top 25 for the first time since 2010 after dropping its last two matches, including a 4-3 decision at No. 65 UC Santa Barbara on March 15. Gonzalo Escobar is the nation's 59th-ranked singles player, while Raony Carvalho and Rafael Garcia are the country's 58th-ranked doubles pair.

Meanwhile, New Mexico State (5-9) has lost its last six matches, including a 6-1 setback at No. 18 Fresno State on Tuesday. Before matching up with UTSA, the Aggies will play Hawai'i on Thursday in Fresno, Calif.
