ELON, N.C. — UTSA swept the opening doubles session and carried that momentum into singles action en route to a 5-2 victory at Elon on Wednesday.

Junior Tyler Brown rallied from a one-set deficit to knock off Stefan Fortmann in three frames at No. 2 singles to provide the clinching point.

The Roadrunners (6-7) picked up three more wins in singles play, including a 6-3, 6-2 triumph for senior Daniel Moser at the No. 6 position.

The Phoenix (6-7) earned their only two points after triumphs at Nos. 1 and 4 singles.

UTSA will return to action at 10 a.m. on Sunday at No. 33 UNC Wilmington.
