LUBBOCK — UTSA dropped a 6-1 decision at No. 17 Texas Tech on Sunday at the McLeod Tennis Center.

Sophomore Tyler Brown posted a quick straight-sets victory (6-1, 6-2) against Rafael Garcia at No. 3 singles, but that was the lone highlight of the afternoon for the Roadrunners (9-7), as the rest of the singles contingent were dropped in straight sets.

The Red Raiders (12-4) jumped to an early 1-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches.

UTSA will return to the courts on Friday, April 8, in a Southland Conference home match against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
