SAN ANTONIO — Tyler Williamson usually experiences an emotional lift while soaring through the air.
But during this week's NCAA track championships it's doubtful the long jumper from UTSA will do anything that is as intense as saving a 3-year-old boy early Sunday night.
"I don't know if anything the rest of my life will be as much of an adrenaline rush as that," said Williamson, who is scheduled to compete Wednesday in Des Moines. "It all happened so fast. I still don't know the boy's name."
Williamson works as an attendant for a neighborhood swimming pool in northwest Bexar County, near San Antonio.
When a mother reported her son was missing, events began to unfold at sprinter's speed.
