EUGENE, Ore. — All-American Keyunta Hayes raced to sixth place in the 400-meter hurdles final on Friday evening at the NCAA Championships.

The Conference USA Champion circled the Hayward Field oval in 51.65 for the second All-America certificate of his illustrious career. Nebraska's Miles Ukaoma won the national title in 49.23, while Kansas' Michael Stiger (49.90) and LSU's Quincy Downing (49.97) rounded out the top three.

The Tyler native's three points pushed the Roadrunners' team total to a program-record eight, which has them in 24th place through 13 scored events. Fellow All-American Richard Garrett Jr. accounted for five with his fourth-place performance in the shot put on Wednesday night.
