SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA volleyball team will host its annual alumni match at noon on Sunday at the Recreation & Wellness Center on the Main Campus.

The 2013 Roadrunners will take on a squad made up of former players, including Cristina (Almeida) Anz, Katy Barnett, Audrey (Hiser) Buskirk, Meagan Daniel-Scarborough, Jennifer Emelogu, Brittany Hildebrand, Elise Huskey, Kelsey Jewasko, Katrina Lawrence, Dana Mecke, Connie Picard, Victoria Prior, Toni Rocheleau, Kendra Rowland and Jeannine (Baeten) Ruffner.

Admission is free and parking is available in unmarked spaces in the Brackenridge Avenue Lots 1 & 2 located south of the facility (click here for a map). There will be an autograph session and meet-and-greet with the current team following the match.

The Roadrunners will open the regular season at the Tigers Classic next Friday-Saturday, Aug. 30-31, in Baton Rouge, La. UTSA will face tournament host LSU at 7 p.m. on the opening night and San Diego State (12:30 p.m.) and UC Davis (5:30 p.m.) a day later.

UTSA returns five starters and its libero from last year’s team that posted a 21-9 overall record and 13-5 mark in its lone campaign as a member of the Western Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners are picked to finish in a second-place tie in the preseason Conference USA Poll behind Preseason Player of the Year McKenzie Adams, a 6-3 senior outside hitter from Schertz, and preseason all-conference defensive specialist Annie Kunes, a sophomore from Fontana, Wis.
