Roadrunners to return to action at Saturday's J. Fred Duckett Twilight

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's and women's track & field squads return to action on Saturday when they travel to Houston for the J. Fred Duckett Twilight.

The one-day meet begins at noon on Saturday with the javelin and the remaining field events will take place for the next seven-and-a-half hours. Meanwhile, track compeition does not commence until 6 p.m. and the running events will run until 10:40 p.m.

UTSA is coming off a trifecta of third-place finishes and a total of 16 season bests (11 men/five women) at last weekend's prestigious Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.

Senior All-American Devon Bond (triple jump) and sophomore Darryl Wyrick (400-meter hurdles) both earned bronze medals and moved to the top of the Southland Conference leaderboard to highlight the men, while sophomore Jessica Bittlerly recorded the second-best 3,000-meter steeplechase performance in UTSA women's history.
